Palermo apartment for rent
Email page to friendMy husband and I stayed in this beautiful apartment in Palermo for five nights, October 15th through 20th in 2008. The location is fantastic. One can easily walk to the train station after getting used to the location for a few hours. It is also within easy walking distance to Via Alloro and Sicily's best museum which unfortunately is under renovation at the time of our visit. Piazza Marina with a big supermarket is within walking range as well. There are numerous small grocery stores, restaurants, fruit and vegetable stands, wine bars in the neighborhood. It is a very up and coming neighborhood just like San Francisco SOMA was or New York SOHO was at one time. Dona, the beautiful receptionist picked us up at the train station.
She was delightful, helped us with orientation and made us feel very comfortable. We did not personally meet the owners Pietro and his wife but we spoke and wrote e-mails. They are indeed great people. The apartment is very tastefully furnished with a well equipped kitchen, washer, and really good, comfortable furniture. The best part is the simplicity in furnishing which makes the apartment cozy but spacious at the same time. There was ground coffee and one big bottle of water as a welcome package. Pietro is too humble in his advertisement. He does not mention that there is a good music system and one can bring CDs or MP3 disks and enjoy a great musical event with dinner. I can not say enough positive things about this beautiful and clean place. I will go back there without any hesitation and I will recommend it to everyone I know and love.

Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires.

Charmant couple de propriétaires, ravissant appartement, surprenant de cachet de confort. Le séjour fut idéal, et depuis nous y sommes retournés deux fois!

We had a delightful stay in this new apartment in Palermo in Christmas of 2007 and as a bonus the gracious owners picked us up at the train station and helped us get settled and oriented.
The floors are beautiful hardwood both in the living area and bedroom loft above. The ceiling is vaulted with traditional log beams and wood decking.
It is tastefully decorated with contemporary furniture which compliments the traditional architecture.
The kitchen is very modern and functional. It also has a clothes washer.
There are wardrobe closets and built in drawers just off the bath.
We were very comfortable during our week stay in Palermo and would definitely book it again on a return trip.

Très agréable appartement confortable et acceuillant, dans un quartier historique et coloré de Palermo. Les contacts que nous avons eu avec les proprétaires furent très cordiaux, ce sont des gens charmants.
